A book on the shelves. From Mountreux.
Found this book on the shelves of my aunt at her home in Mountreux. They carry many memories of her past and remain witness to the efforts at preservation of identity. The book is an English translation of Rabindranath Tagore 's work Rakthakarabi - Red Oleanders'.
It should be classified as a work in dialectical materialism. However as we read this book we can find a poetic shift towards secular humanism emphasizing reason and naturalism. The metaphor of the red olenader in particur is very typical of some of Gurji's typical book. I was able to take opinion of my aunt who had read the bengali versions and mere faint memories remain. She felt reminiscence of her tagorian youth and went on to remember many trivialities of life as is expected of all person in the routine of years.
It was all good in the morning of this day to wonder from a distant land, the residue of creativity that percolated the social mind in many ways.
